The Defilement of Lily Peters
10 year old slain and raped post mortem by 14 year old cousin.
The Story
On April 24th, 2022, a Sunday, Lily Peters, 10, went on a hike on a local hiking trail near their houses in the small town of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Unfortunately this would be Lily’s last day on Earth.
On that day, Lily had left her Aunt’s house just down the road from the hiking trail so that she could ride her bike in the woods. However, Lily’s father became worried as it was getting darker and she hadn’t made her way home yet. By 9pm her father called the police and a search was implemented right away.
Police searching for the ten-year-old find her bike in woodland near a walking trail between the end of N Grove Street and the Leinenkugel brewery parking lot, four block's from her aunt's house.
The police deploy K-9s and drones in order to help find the missing girl, unfortunately it was too late. By early Monday morning the police found her remains with signs of foul play and post-mortem sexual assault.
On Tuesday the 26th, an anonymous Reddit user posts:
“What's scary is I was playing Pokémon Go in the park that day walking along that very same trail, my stomach turns when I think I saw that girl in a pink/purple hoodie on her bike with another kid on my way out. I have a suspicion that it could be another kid that did it.”
Using this info the police begin to investigate her relationships with children around her age and that same day police announce they have arrested a suspect for Lily's murder.
On Wednesday the 27th, the police announced that the suspect they have in custody is Lily’s 14 year old cousin.
Carson Peters-Berger, Lily's cousin, allegedly told police he punched her in the stomach, knocked her to the ground, hit her with a stick, and strangled her to the point of death before raping her.
He appears in adult court where he is referred to by his initials CP-B. He is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree sexual assault and first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 13, resulting in great bodily harm. Bond is set at $1 million.
Is Justice Being Served?
Original reporting by the Daily Mail:
Peters-Berger is now being held at the Northwest Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on a $1 million cash bond, where he will stay until he is 18.
Peters-Berger, now 16, wants to be tried as a child, meaning he could be freed from jail by the time he is 25.
However, prosecutors told the court that he planned to:
“rape and kill the victim from the get-go when he left the house with the victim to go down the trail.”
He has been charged as an adult with 1st degree premeditated homicide and two counts of rape, and faces life in prison.
However, his lawyers are arguing in a 35-page briefing that he should be tried as a juvenile, which would only send him to jail for 10 years, letting him walk as a free man at the age of 25.
Thankfully, Judge Steven Gibbs ruled on January 22nd that Peters-Berger should stay in adult court. The Wisconsin Court of Appeals agreed to hear an appeal by the defense.
Gibbs wrote in his ruling concerning the trial being moved to a juvenile court, he stated:
“The court disagrees that a possible 10-year confinement in the juvenile system, registering as a sex offender and that the defendant would be vulnerable to the adult system would be punishment enough for the defendant.”
Peters-Berger’s lawyer, Michael Cohen (no relation to Trump’s former lawyer), objected while arguing that sending him to jail for decades wouldn’t deter other and would only be retribution.
Cohen stated:
“The Circuit Court correctly found that he could not receive adequate treatment in the criminal justice system and that retaining jurisdiction in adult court is not necessary to deter him or other juveniles. But the Circuit Court erred in finding that transferring jurisdiction would depreciate the seriousness of the offense. In this case, putting [Peters-Berger] in adult prison for life is not necessary. It will not motivate change or cause change. It is only punishment for the sake of punishment, which is not what the law permits for juveniles. There is no evidence that imposing this harsh outcome upon [Peters-Berger] will in any way deter others. We may hope, or wish that it does, but in reality, it will not change others' behavior.”
Thankfully Wisconsin’s Attorney General Josh Kaul and Assistant A.G. John Flynn both submitted a 25-page rebuttal on Monday, lambasting Cohen for trying to lighten his client’s sentence when the crimes were so serious.
In their joint rebuttal they wrote:
[Peters-Berger], intending to murder and sexually assault the victim, convinced her to go down a trail with him. [Peters-Berger] admitted that the physical assault of the young victim was vicious and brutal in nature, involving punching the victim, knocking the victim down and hitting the victim with a stick.
The pair ridiculed Cohen's claim that ‘retaining adult jurisdiction would only serve retribution’, noting he did so ‘without legal authority or record citation’. Without a record citation, this is merely his opinion, and without a legal citation for why this matters, this argument is undeveloped, and this court should not address it.”
Chippewa Country District Attorney Wade Newell estimated the Court of Appeals would take about 4 weeks to decide concerning the arguments filed.
Judge Gibbs has declared the criminal case would not return to court until the appeal was decided and no trial date has been set.
A Broken Home & History of Abuse
Carson Peters-Berger:
Peters-Berger is the son of convicted pedophile Adam Berger, 39, who spent 3 years in jail after being caught in May 2018, with a stash of pornographic images of adolescent girls on his phone.
According to charging documents, 10 pornographic photos showing little girls in various sexual positions were uncovered.
Some of them had been doctored to include comments such as 'first in ur little girls a**hole and then in ur mouth mom'. Berger's own face was superimposed on some of them.
Other pictures showed the children half naked; among them one showing a girl in a green feather boa and black high heels and another girl wearing a pink tutu skirt.
All of the revolting pictures focused on the children’s private parts, according to court papers. The police also discovered that he had drug paraphernalia including four crack pipes in his home.
When his son was charged, Berger was living in a halfway house in Eau Claire after being released from Oshkosh Correctional Institution in April of 2021.
Berger remained on supervised probation and is still on the sex offender registry. Unsurprisingly, him and his lawyers opposed extended probation because he would not have had unsupervised visits with his son.

There has been other letters filed in support of Berger’s bid to regain unsupervised contact with his son, however, they were denied rightfully so because he’s a pedophile. Though these letters do point out that Peters-Berger’s mother Lauri Davis, 45, was a horrible mother.
Davis has a history of picking bad partners; this includes convicted fraudster John Repetto, 50, who Davis previously had a relationship with.
When Berger was sent to jail in 2018, the only parent that paid attention to Peter’s-Berger left the home.
According to his grandmother Mary:
“Carson has not been very happy with his father being gone.”
And according to a family friend, Katie Weathers:
“We have seen him out and about with his mom and he never looks happy. He doesn't smile, he's always quiet and just looks at the ground and doesn't talk.”
The 16 year old is the product of a brief relationship between Berger and Davis, who is the sister of Lily’s father, Alex Peters, 45.
Alex Peters reported his daughter missing at 9pm on Sunday when his daughter failed to return home from visiting her aunt, Davis.
Davis and Berger spilt when their son was just 2 years old and had a bad relationship, with Davis suing for child support in 2010.
In 2017, before Berger was convicted of being a pedophile but after he had been arrested and charged, Davis called the police over an incident where he hit her with his car.
Although Berger wasn’t supposed to be alone with his child, who was 8 at the time, the charging papers say they were in the vehicle together.
Davis reported that she first noticed a suspicious car lurking in the alleyway behind her home and followed the vehicle before it pulled over into a random driveway. After Peters-Berger got out, Berger then reversed into Davis who then attempted to stop him from leaving. She stated he then drove the car at her, leaving her injured when she rolled off the hood and ended up on the ground.
When Berger was sent to jail, all direct contact was ceased, however, Berger admitted to emailing his son every day, spoke to him regularly while he was with his grandmother and mailed him a present that he made in prison.

He said he dreamed of a future with his son, adding that he wanted unsupervised contact with his son because:
“he is not a victim of my offense. My son is the best part of me.”
Berger was denied physical access to his son, though it’s unclear whether or not he has seen his son since his release in April of last year.
Lily Peters:
Like her cousin, Lily was the product of a broken home and lived with her father Alex, a man with a checkered past and a string of drug and alcohol charges.
Her aunt, Laura Davis, also has multiple convictions for drug offenses, all dating from at least two years before her son was born, and was also arrested for domestic battery in December 2005 following an altercation with her then husband, John Davis.

Meanwhile Lily’s mother, Jennifer Eyerly, 40, is currently on probation after being convicted of multiple counts of theft, including for swiping four of her mother’s credit cards and racking up a bill totaling almost $8K.
Eyerly also defrauded her aunt and uncle out of $10K by inventing fake jobs for them, even conducting fake interviews, all in a bid to get their financial details.
Eyerly and Alex Peters broke up in 2018 and in 2022 decided to leave her daughter behind by moving 60 miles away.
