The Direction of Matthew's Watch
Matthew’s Watch, which is the new organization that I am building, is something very important to me and that’s why I am not setting it up as a non-profit.
I thought of setting the organization up as a 501 (C)(3), however, I remember how James O’Keefe started Project Veritas as a 501 (C)(3) before being ousted from the very charity that he started. And this is the problem with non-profits. They are too easily infiltrated by the woke mob or run by weak willed men.
Having a board of directors that can just oust the founder because they want to is something that I would never agree with. Look what happened to Project Veritas after they ousted O’Keefe; get woke get broke.
That’s why I am setting Matthew’s Watch up as a sole proprietorship, which means that me being the sole proprietor, would be in complete control of the company. The company would be inseparable from me, in both tax and legal responsibilities. And since I write under a pseudonym, the business would be set up as a sole proprietorship DBA (doing business as).
This is not just to ensure that the woke mob doesn’t try to get into positions where they have security, but also to make sure that my vision is executed exactly how I dictate. Now, that doesn’t mean I am going to rule as a dictator, more like a philosopher king. I will listen to those that work for me and take their advice, but I will not be compelled to do something I find immoral.
As sole proprietor I would receive all the profits the business generates, ensuring a close watch on where the money goes in the company. Often times lack of oversight and direct control leads to unneeded expenses and instances of theft. Both of which I would not tolerate. As a Greek Orthodox Christian, I see theft as a crime of severe immorality and I see wasting resources as a variety of greed.
As sole proprietor I would only make as much profit as was needed to start a family on some farmland in the countryside of my home in New England. I would find a place close enough to an Orthodox church so I could partake in the sacraments and liturgy. My goal is to live as if “dead to the world.”
There is a huge disadvantage when it comes to sole proprietorship in that I would be personally liable for all business debts and legal obligations. Meaning if the business owes money, faces lawsuits, or encounters financial difficulties, both my assets and the assets of the company would be at risk. However, I believe that too many corrupt people hide behind their legal and financial protections without just consequence. And I certainly would never hide from a battle or my responsibilities.
Sole proprietorships may encounter more fundraising problems than other types of businesses, however, I think that’s the advantage of choosing this type of business. Instead of receiving funding from banks or controlled opposition, I would have to convince potential investors, such as yourselves, that my business is worthy of your dollar.
Finally sole proprietorships are limited to the skills and knowledge of the owners. Which I must admit is a big disadvantage as of right now, but like Andrew Carnegie, I am determined to make this a successful and powerful entity. By performing under pressure I can learn every facet of the business and make better informed decisions that will further this movement.
