U.S. Treasury Strong-Armed Banks to Flag Christians and Trump Supporters as 'Extremists".
"What was also flagged? If you bought a religious text, like a BIBLE, or shopped at Bass Pro Shop." - U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)
During a U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary subcommittee it was revealed that the U.S. Treasury’s financial crimes enforcement division urged financial institutions to flag customer transactions linked to phrases like “MAGA” and “Trump” as well as purchase of Christian texts.
Representative Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, chair of the House Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government, sent a letter to Noah Bishoff, the former director in the Treasury’s Strategic Operations Division of Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
